Help...

Working on a site -- have one, just ONE date/time script that uses the onload and that's the one this client wants and now my page won't validate for XHTML and I'm clueless why or how to fix this -- anyone know oh pretty please? It's the only error I'm receiving and here's what it says:

Quote:
Line 20, Column 13: there is no attribute "onLoad".
<body onLoad="goforit()">
You have used the attribute named above in your document, but the document type you are using does not support that attribute for this element. This error is often caused by incorrect use of the "Strict" document type with a document that uses frames (e.g. you must use the "Transitional" document type to get the "target" attribute), or by using vendor proprietary extensions such as "marginheight" (this is usually fixed by using CSS to achieve the desired effect instead).
This error may also result if the element itself is not supported in the document type you are using, as an undefined element will have no supported attributes; in this case, see the element-undefined error message for further information.
How to fix: check the spelling and case of the element and attribute, (Remember XHTML is all lower-case) and/or check that they are both allowed in the chosen document type, and/or use CSS instead of this attribute. If you received this error when using the <embed> element to incorporate flash media in a Web page, see the FAQ item on valid flash.
Now I know it's not marginheight -- using CSS totally. It's all in lower case so it has to be something not allowed is what I'm thinking but I'm,as I said, sadly clueless. Would sure appreciate any insight!

THANK YOU!!

If you have FireFox, try these extensions:

http://www.getfirebug.com/
http://users.skynet.be/mgueury/mozilla/

The second one is a really cool validator that points to all your errors and gives you suggestions to fix them.

So embarrassed... ... easy problem that was right in my face but I just didn't see it (the "L" in onload was capitilized...).

Many thanks to the person who helped me out with this one ... he/she knows who he/she is.
