This had to do with real real estate not domains. Tenant fled apartment, refused to pay for rest of the summer. Lease ends September 1. Showed up in court and said: well, I have all these emails and I believe there was a verbal agreement, but I have nothing specific that the lease was changed. Judge says, that's it? He pulls out a stack of emails going back and forth. Tried to nail me on emails. Judge says, I'll only accept a those relevant to the case. So a few emails get put up as an exhibit.
Moral of the story: never, ever, negotiate anything over email. It can be used against you as in court.
Anyways, I still won.
