I successfully made a turkish hacking site be suspended, as well as their host (they were their own host). Anyways, they hacked my website, it took my a while to fix it. When I did, I lurked their forum. It was very hard because I don't know turkish. Somehow I managed to spot illegal versions of IPB and VBulletin, so I reported the site to ipb and vbulletin, so I'm assuming that's what made them shut down. Has anyone had a similar experience? I must admit that hacking is somewhat fun, but only as a joke or to someone you know (knowing you won't affect them economically or in any other way). But to hack random sites? That's stupid.

Hacking random sites, is the lowest you can go. At least damaging some sort of competitor or something is at least understandable, but ruining a random person for mere sport is very low.

Anyways, glad to hear of your success with that, and no, I've never had that sort of experience really, hehe.

That's awesome. I got hacked by a Turkish group not too long ago and it took me a few hours to recover. Good job!

I don't think that anyone who comes here and happens to be a Turk or of any affiliation with Turkish culture/country will appreciate this title as it assumes instant connection between terrorism and Turkey. No, I am not from Turkey but have friends who are. Just my 2c.

To answer your question, my forum got hacked by someone from Romania :glare:

lol, i am bosnian and have a bosnian friend who hacked other bosnian sites... I call his tactics "Terrorism", website terrorism

I don't want to name their site, but it was "SOMETHING TERRORISM", so to them it was terrorism. I'm not racist or anything, I'm just saying what THEY said.

Just what I was going to say Ismar. But it is terrorism, what they call cyber terrorism. Also, Terrorism can be a kidnapper holding a person hostage for money, terrorism is loose but people affiliate terrorist with (Hate to say it) races, like people from SW Asia. There are IRA terrorists (Irish Republican Army) and they are fighting for freedom and called in their attacks to warn people. But yes, that was an act of cyber-terrorism.

I'd not call this terrorism either - you're doing the victims of real terrorism (e.g. IRA victims) a diservice by claiming that someone hacking your site is somehow "the same" as what these people have had to go through.

Read recent post, they call themselves internet terrorists. I'm just typing what they call themselves. So even if it's not terrorism, that means they're poser terrorists.
