Has anyone here sucessfully written off a Vehical purchase for your online business? I was wondering if this is possible as I am buying a truck soon and want to look into it. I will be asking my tax accountant at my next visit, but that may not be until the end of the month.

Vehicle not Vehical

I have never done this. I am not sure if you can for an online business. Maybe someone else has?

I have heard you can do this, however if you sell the vehicle you are liable then for the taxes on it?

I thought the word looked goofy :P

I've had a few ideas to link a car to your business, such as possibly promoting your websites with decals or something. I dunno, I am hoping to find something

If you know how to do it, you can write off just about everything you do if you are a Home Business Owner. You can even write off your kids tuition and weddings when you know how. PM me to find out more

Much Success

Indeed, I'm going to write off everything I do lol.

My mom even managed to write off our family vacation to Colombia because it doubled as a shareholder meeting

But yeah, you can do a lot of stuff when you own a business

Slap some stickers or a custom paint job on it and call it offline advertising.

If you write off a car, expect to get audited by the IRS.

In order to write off a car, you better be **** sure that you can prove that you're not using it for personal use. Same goes with home business stuff. I looked into writing off a comptuer and other home office stuff, and, well, sure, you CAN do it, but the stuff has to be separated off in a distinct area.

in other words, they make it really strict, so if you're doing it, you're clearly legitimate.

this is in no way is legal advice of any kind. before you do anything like this, talk to your accountant and/or lawyer, as necessary.
