I am a website designer/developer located in the Charlotte, NC area. Recently NC just passed their new budget and in that they now are collecting taxes for "digital property."

Majority of my business is subscription based, meaning while I do designs and custom work, the websites are hosted on my servers for a monthly fee and if they cancel, the sites do not go with them. (There is an option, for a fee - which I expect then would be taxable.)

Under this setup, I am wondering if my business still falls under the new tax code. Anyone else in a similar situation?
