I'm starting a web design company. I've registered with the state (West Virginia) done all of my paperwork.

Do I charge sales tax for web design? Do I charge sales tax for hosting?

Ask your accountant or your local tax office.

Services are taxable now in my state. I believe it's different in each state based on their requirements. I also am confused with internet sales in general, since you are selling to their state do you charge them their sales tax or yours? geesh.

The Maryland Comptroller's numbers are (866)588-1878 and (410) 767-3150. Their office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This being a holiday weekend, they may very well be closed tomorrow. Hope this helps.

As this thread was started some EIGHTEEN MONTHS AGO and was the only post the TS ever made, it's probably of no use whatsoever!!
