You can save the $400 on SEO. No SEO in their right mind would accept $400 for this for three reasons:

1) There are no users on the forums, and therefore you have no content.

2) SEO would be a self-fulfilling prophecy on a forum site, since it's based on the number of users.

3) You won't find a good SEO for less than 4 digits to begin with.

So you need to rethink where you're going with this and concentrate on getting users to sign up rather than directly worrying about SEO. You can keep the $400 (or give it to me for telling you this.)

Successful forums and forums want to be successful are not rely on SERPs. Admin, Mod and Members knowledge is the base for success.

Yes my friend, 400.00 is not enough to cover it. It takes years. Instead buy products that teach you how to do it.

Dont buy no products:
1. put your link in ur signiture with the enchor text being the keyowrd u want to get into

2. pay ppl : 0.1$ per post, tell them to start up the community: i would start with 100$ for the posts.

3. buy links - PR5+

Roy77, that is still a exspensive way to do it. With actual products he can learn to optomize his content correctly, and he can rank well with spending little to no money after the base product.

the only way, and please prove me wrong, that he could rank with only content optmization is by spamming the keyword all over the place. In seo books he will learn to optimize his content in such ways that will no spam ofcourse. therefor without spending the 100-400 $ on heck of link, depend on keyowrd - he will never rank, even if his content is great ie: meta tagsh, Title, alt tags, wrtings. for google link is that trick. for msn, if u were to learn to otpimize your content and so on.. you would rank nicley - seomaster - which seo book do u recommand reading?

update: each ebook of seo cost 99$ you mentioned the plural of product - therefor at leat 2 = 200$. therefor he will benifit more from learning from us and buying with 200 dollars those links

Roy 77, I suggest that you not put such a high price tag on your service. Rarley will you get a customer at that cost. I charge 175.00 for the same service and I have multiple examples.

for $299 we can do 1.000 directory submissions, that's not enough, like many said before the quality of the forum is more important, but directory links is a basic need for any site

Webmasx,Im new here and saw ur message. They are right , for 400 no one would take that job as it would require time even for an expert. I have an seo that can get any site into the top 10 to to 20 in google but even his services require time and he charges a bit more but he is still cheaper than any otehr seo out there and has never failed to get a first page google ranking. He recently took a pagerank zero new site to no 1 in google for a pretty tough keyword in 3 months. If anyone wants verified examples with email contacts to verify his work just pm me.

Link popularity , link directories help but alone arent enough to get ranked in google. It also takes clean onpage optimization as well as an expert link builder. People think adding links alone is enough to get ranked but you need to be able to study not only the links themselves but the links that are linking to the links that are linking to the links. Also ill give u a clue that there are also specialized directories out there, you just need to know how to look. Took me 6 months to find it, but i wont give up this list.
