XAP or ASPX or Mixuture?

I am using Silverlight since last 25 days and it changed the way of coding. I am embedding everything in xap which makes me little confuse.

My Question:

1. To what extend we need to write the code in aspx

2. If I am developing and ASP.NET application with Silverlight what proportion of code normally I need to put in XAML considering all pages are fully powered by Silverlight pages.

If your entire site is going to be Silverlight then all code will be going into the Silverlight Solution. If you are going to be using a database you'll also have webservices. The webservices will be created in the standard website (aspx) solution.

Think of Silverlight can interact with other controls that are on a regular aspx page.

If you really want to learn Silverlight goto http://silverlight.net/Learn/ and watch and follow along with the videos and tutorials.

I've watched most of them now and trust me when I say that it really helps.

Ask yourself, what's the difference between swf (Flash) and aspx and you pretty much have your answer.

A xap file is a zipped file that contains all the assemblies for the Silverlight app you created and is downloaded by the client and used by the client browser. An aspx file is interpreted by the server and then sent as HTML to the client.

If this doesn't make sense then you'll need to do more research on your own.
