hi all

How to create and manage multiple threads in asp.net
plz help
when i am creating threads at page load it excutes its delegate method before the page load but what i want is to run a method after the page load

be more specific
I want to create a lable which show a count down timer at the top of page

I have no idea how to run multiple threads. If you figure it out, please post the answer.

If you're trying to show some type of progress indicator, you might want to look into using ajax to report the progress to the client side.

One way you might be able to get a process to run seperate from your page is by creating a service or executable for it. You can trigger this process from your page and it will continue to run after your page is finished processing.

Threading won't solve your problem. Normal .NET code can't update the client after the page has loaded since ther is no longer a connection. A new request would have to be made to the server for ASP.NET to update it.
You can use Javascript to create a countdown timer. Search google for some pre made scripts.
AJAX is a method to get and post data to the server without having to re-load the entire page. It has to be initiated from the client though. Microsoft have their own implementation of AJAX that integrates directly with .NET and Visual Studio. It's called ATLAS and you can find out more at www.asp.net and click on Atlas.
