The database will be for the members login consisting of the username and password in order to restrict nonmembers from entering the members access pages. You don't really create a database with VB. You create the database with the administration tool for your chosen database system (SQL, Access, etc) and then you use a language such as VB to read & write to that database.

Which database you will use? MS Access, MySQL, MS SQL, or Oracle? You need to use different connection string within VB for different SQL server.
