The site i'm working on has no ASPX pages or code behind but instead uses classes in Model and Controller directories and XSL in the view directory and it looks like Maverick glues this all togeater and does a transform so that each controler can have many forms but this means i lose the VS form designer as i needed to write all the XSL by hand and i loose the tight coupling between the aspx and the code behind.
just changing the colour of a textbox seems hard work and the current project does seem to have a lot of files and code for what it does.

should i throw it all in the bin and start again as all the good stuff like this.txtName.text="Alan"; is gone and i can not use the normal grid controls, user controls, view tate and such like without mixing two design patterns. i don't want to learn a new method to do things unless it gives me something in return.

Regards

Bud, I would get out of that situation and change up before you waste any more time.

Coding in .NET while sacrfificing everything that makes .NET great is like running a race embedded in cement.

Nothing wrong with not wanting to be inefficient.

Do you really know -every- member of w-t well enough to make a statement like that? I don't think so.

I personally would start from scratch - unless you can see an advantage to doing the way that's already been done, go with what you know.
