Is there a way to send the formatted HTML to a printDocument?

I need a way to print a formatted HTML document but also I need to auto change it to landscape. I am aware that you can use the webbrowser control and use webbrowser.print or webbrowser.showprintdialog but neither of these automatically allows you to change the orientation to landscape.

So I was thinking if anyone knows of a way to send the HTML pre formatted to a printDocument I'll be able to change the orientation myself.

Please, any reply would be nice, even if someone says it's impossible or what the hell am I thinking or advice on where to start. Is there a way to take the html and put it into an RTF or make HTMLDocument convert to a normal document. I have even asked this on Microsoft's forum and they can't answer me.

Supposedly, this feature will be made available in CSS3. However, we're nowhere near CSS3 compliance yet with browsers, so you're gonna have to wait.

Sucks though, because that's a feature that is of some use.

I'm talking about using VB.Net not ASP.net. This is for a Windows application.

Could you describe in more detail what you're trying to do? Are you wanting to essentially send a screen shot from a WebBrowser control to the printer? Do you want to print the html source? I get the idea you want to print the rendered document, not the source ...

I want to print the rendered (formatted) html, so basically print a web page without having a dialog box and having it default to landscape, OR to set the system print to landscape (the machines default printer)

Hi,

You can use the HTML to PDF Converter for .NET from (www).dotnet-reporting.com or the <link drop removed > from <link drop removed > . It can convert full HTML and CSS tags. You can even see an online demo on the home page.

Regards,
Florin
