I just joined the site, but I've been a webmaster since I was about 10 years old (7 years). My site has changed quite a lot... I originally wanted to make the world's most annoying site. My current project is a site that (once I understand and can work with sql) I want to make like a social networking site. I'm good with html and php and have just started learning css too.

You're going from the world's most annoying site to a social networking site? Not really much of a switch there, IMHO.

If you're going to go down the social networking road, a word of advice: beware of the "SEO 2.0"/"SMO" crowd. That pack of hyenas will do everything in their power to try and get themselves into the forefront of whatever you build, despite having nothing of any real use to offer anyone.

you should really look into learning joomla if you want to build a website.

The reason I'm still relying on free hosting is because I don't have an income right now. Once I can afford it, and hopefully have a little bit of a community, I'll try moving to a domain name.
