New Member Introductions

Hi all,

My name is Shawn and I am new here. I have been a webmaster for quite a few years and mainly I focus on message forum administration and portal-type websites. I own about 7 or 8 domains, 5 being message forums and I know html pretty good as well as php and mysql. I joined to meet other webmasters and lean more.

Otherwise I get into storm chasing, meteorology, Freemasonry and the outdoors sch as ATV riding, camping and drinking some cold ones in the pool when the weather is nice and hot.

I live in southern Illinois and I work in the law enforcement field.

I drove my car into a rain-wrapped EF-0 tornado once. It was so weak it just made me spin around in circles like I was hydroplaning...I call that a close encounter even though it was very unlikely to cause death or much harm.

Lightning stuck my car during a chase once. It killed the car and as I was trying to start it, I watched a pretty large vortex start to form not so far away from me and moving towards me. Lucky me I got the car started and got the heck out of there.

Risking you life is a part of storm chasing, lol. I may be somewhat crazy for doing it but I do not with for others or myself to die
