I wanted to join a webmaster forum, I googled Webmaster forums and you guys were number 1, so at least your WM knows what he is doing.
Anyway for the most part right now I am here to find good books to read to learn the basics beyond html. I am already working on an html book right now; eventually I want to design a website for my neighborhood and create a forum and hopefully sell ads to local biz's.
I also want to learn java and php and sql, etc. as many languages as i can really. but i dont really know where i should go after learning html.

so far ive read a dreamweaver tutorial but got stuck once it said anything about actually hsoting a site so ive got a lot to learn (chapter 6 int this particular book) using a master-detail set..... so i skippped it and went to my other book on html.
