New Member Introductions

Hello all. I'm from the boondocks, out in a rural part of England. I decided to put up a website but know nothing. So, for the past two and a half months I've been struggling to come to terms with HTML, CSS, image manipulation and flash. Boy, is this a steep learning curve! Haven't spent so much time on anything since struggling with Windows 95b and rebuilding computers from crashes, back in the 90s!

I've loads of questions, but am still only on the base slopes of the mountain, so please speak in simple terms.

Welcome and enjoy your stay!

As long as you're eager to learn, open minded, and give as much detail when possible when asking for help, you'll get loads of answers. Just remember, don't try to figure it all out at once. I'd definetely recommend you don't even start to touch flash until you've got HTML/XHTML/CSS down. Then start to learn things like Flash and Javascript. Maybe then you'll be ready for PHP and SQL

A bit too late, Mork - I've spent the last 5 days compiling a 25s flash sequence. It was a nice break, after struggling with HTML & CSS, to take on board a programme I could use without running to the manual every other minute.
