I'm a web developer for a large company and I'm building a network of sites on my own to try and someday escape the 9-6 rat race.

Congratulations on joining, and good luck with the sites.

I quit my day job in July, and couldn't be happier-I make 4 times as much in a quarter of the time! Just stay focused and you will get there!
