Hi,:helpsmilie:

I have been a member for a short time but felt it was time to introduce myself.

I'm a UK based, web-only travel agent. In other words we run our travel agency business purely from the web, no "bricks-and-mortar" shops any more.

We have 15 active travel sites and have recently started our first Travel Forum, which has been getting members and posts but slowly.

I know we get good visitor numbers that reach the forum from our main sites but I am not sure the best way to try and get them to become members and enter posts.

If anyone could give me some points as to the best way to try and really kick this off I would be grateful.

There are a number of really busy travel forums in the UK and the public in the UK love their holidays and travel so I am sure there is room for another.

Any advice you can offer would be gratefully received.

Thanks,

Colin

Hi Colmad,
How you doing,I wanted to say that when I was in England I saw an ad on the TV I think the ad had something to do with British Telecom. The point of the ad was that it was good to talk.Have you tried to encourage those you know and have you tried to use a auto respons for those who have sign up with you to spread the word about what it is that you are trying to do.? Thanks DreamLoverSky,

I have been getting my staff to try and get the forum off the ground but I think your suggestions are an excellent idea so I'll be giving that a try.
