I'm a web designer/developer and make a decent living from the internet. I earn a little from link rentals, a tiny bit from ebooks, and a good chunk from AdSense. I still keep one client to have some emergency income just in case, but I like to invest as much of my time as possible as opposed to working for earned income.
Although my adSense has been really up and down since summer, I've been above $4000 one month and as low as $1000 from AdSense the next, because google search has been almost completley dropping traffic to the site that brings most of my money. (It's an education site I have been working on - on and off in my free time since 1999).
Because of the recent problems with the google search traffic, I'm trying to get away from Google search dependency and content based sites and move towards more user and community based sites that grow through viral means and don't depend so much on Google. Also these type of sites have much more leverage once they get going.
I hope to to contribute as well as learn from others in the forum. :thumbup:
