Just thought I'd drop a quick line and say hello. I've been registered for almost a week and wanted to get a feel for what goes on around here before I jumped into the mix. I ended up finding this site from an interview that was done with lee. Saw it in a Digg the one day at work and eventually ended up here. Spent most of the day and all of that evening just reading and absorbing information. I've been trying to come up with ideas on how to make either a little extra cash or a full time income from the internet for a couple years now and I hope I can learn from everyone here on how I can do that.
I'll tell you a little about myself too I guess. I'm 25, graduated as a Computer Engineering Technologist in 2003, consulted as a programmer/systems analyst for 2 1/2 years and luckily was always around the top executives of the telco company here and learned tons about business. The consulting thing was a little too hit or miss for me so I settled into a full time position that I've been at for 1 1/2 years as a software developer and have slowly been moving into a new role in Business Development. Work aside, I like building bikes (I'll post a link of mine after my 15th post), I've rebuilt and customized and old 16' boat to suit my needs, I like mechanics, wood working, electronics and designing anything I can think of. I also like writing! (as you can tell hehehe). My main motivation in life is when someone tells me something CAN'T be done.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to learning from everyone on this site and I hope that I can use some of my knowledge, skills, resources to help out people of this site as well. Thanks for having me!!
