Hi everyone,

It's taken me a while, but I made it to this thread in the end:blush:

My name's Michelle, and I just moved out to China from England with my partner and our baby, to better afford getting set up working online.

Our friends and family thought we were crazy, but it was time we got serious about making some money and working for ourselves.

So far, we're making good progress and have learnt a lot, but a proper business takes longer to bring in money than we expected.

We have a blog at 1000milejourney.com (see link below) for info on our progress out in China and the projects we are working on. Our main project right now is our baby and toddler groups search site, and we're working on this full time.

Thanks everyone for the kind welcoming messages.

Ronald - we haven't actually outsourced in China, but are living here because livings costs are cheaper than back home in the UK. Having said that though, we did try to find some local programmers through the local town's messageboards - so far no luck though.

Since I last posted, we've become a lot more serious with our blog and are seeing some good results. We have 20 readers now (which will be nothing to some of you, but good for early days as a side project I think :blush: ).

If anybody has time to give a little feedback on our blog, that would be much appreciated. The layout is a bit cluttered I know, so I'm working on changing that.
