New Member Introductions

Hey everybody,

I am quite new to the wonderful word of web design. I have quite a bit of experience on the programming side though (html, css, vb script, asp, vb.net, asp.net). I think the forum is fantastic, and am looking forward to helping and or getting all of your suggestions and comments.

Questions:
What are public groups?
If I add somebody to my ‘buddy list’, what does it mean?

Kalkm, welcome to the WT community -- your experience may be put to good use in the ASP forum -- we've been looking for an expert! But I hope you enjoy all the forums and the comraderie of our not-so-little group.

To answer your questions, public groups are not used in WT -- it is just a feature of the forum software that we don't utilize. As for the buddy list, I'm inclined to repeat my answer, but I have frankly never used it.

Welcome to WT. Enjoy your stay!

You can add other members to your buddy list and then go to your CP to see if they are online, or to quickly send them a PM (takes less steps if you PM someone frequently).
