Hello Everyone,
I thought I should introduce myself as I`ve chosen this site to be my saviour in times of need. My name is Alex I`m 33 yrs old born in Coventry UK living in Birmingham. I stumbled on your site through a link from an introduction to HTML site I think, its the first forum I hit during my search and having a look round it will be the only forum I`m going to use, this place looks like its got everything I need. All I need now is friendly patient people to help me with the immense amount of questions I have about a lot of the subjects listed on this site.
To give you a background to how I ended up here, I am wanting to start to learn and train to be a web designer / programmer. I work full time in the IT industry, Im the UK Channel Manager for an 8 Billion Euro company and my field is Lan Networking, over the years I have come into contact with Web Design, at one point before I entered the industry I`m in, I attended an OCN college course for HTML this was about 7 years ago. As I got a job in LANs my desire for Web Design sort of flickered out.
Recently I`ve discovered again that I`ve got a real drive to try to become a proper Web Designer again 7 years on, and because of this I am throwing everything I`ve got into trying to learn how to achieve this. Not only could I have a second business but I`m also involved in alot of Gaming sites, and would love to offer my services. I run a gaming clan which I won`t name right now or link to as I think its against the rules, its a multi gaming clan and we have servers for BF2 / Left for Dead / COD5 World at War and play many different games. We have 50 members worldwide and are growing everyday. The reason I mention all of this is because I run an E107 gaming site, which I would love to keep updated, and designed the way I want it, I also have ideas for other sites I would like as well. So that I don`t go on and on and on cause once I get going its hard for me to stop, I will say I`m looking forward to meeting the active members and staff, and I apologise now if ask some stupid questions !!
