Hi everyone,
I just signed up and will be active with lots of questions. A bit about what brings me here...
I started a small website to host a few pictures of a mechanical contraption about 2004. I began to receive e-mails from visitors asking if they could add pictures of their contraptions as well, and now five years later I feel things are getting out of scope for my simple mind. Things are out of date, and one security hole after another seems to allow bots and advertisers to have their way with me. I have managed to survive so far, but feel a major upgrade is in order. With real life getting in the way of time, and me loosing interest with all the new advances in web capabilities... I am at last reaching out for help. I feel that the task at hand is beyond my capabilities due to the size of the site, and the value the content holds to its visitors.
More about all that later.
I am glad to be here, and I hope in one way or another my issues help others along the way.
