Welcome to Webmaster-Talk! I guess you could say we are new compaired several other webmaster forums I know of that have been around for several years. I don't have a large advertising budget at this time, but we have a steady pace of new members joining every day or two (we do have an affiliate program).

Actually a new member myself (Oct 2002) but instead of starting another freshman thread thought I'd join yours say hello along with all these welcoming stalwarts.

I'll introduce myself properly another time but in short I'm the webmaster for the Faculty of Commerce in Ireland's largest university, University College Dublin. To cut a long story short, I've other interests on the sidelines but I won't bore you with details!

My suitably naive question at this time is how do you get these images/logos beside your user names in threads? thanks.

hello damascus, welcome to webmaster-talk.

to get the images (aka. avatar) beside your user names. just go to User Panel. Click on edit Profile. and then on the bottom, where it says avatar. Choose one. or upload one yourself

if you have any other questions/comments feel free to post/PM one of the Mods/Admins here.
