Hi folks, I have just joined and am hoping to find useful advice and share where I can anything that I learn. I am particularly interested in knowing how to trace an email or IP address, especially where someone is being vindictive etc. I am in the UK.

Welcome to W-T.

Hope you have fun here.

To trace an email you will need to first locate the headers and look through them to get the IP's it came from.

Tks. I have downloaded a program called email tracker pro. Its a trial version and I have already started testing it. It seems to be able to do a lot. I don't have enough posts yet so can't post a link.

For IP's just do a search for "geoip" there are tons of sites and even a few free databases.

For example, from your IP it appears you are in Flitwick in Bedfordshire
