Hello, I am new here in case you didn't notice. I have made many websites, all of them coded in some type of NotePad program (I never use Dreamweaver type programs) so I know my code.
I started getting into web design around 2004. Back then I used Microsoft Publisher. I just pasted a bunch of clip art onto a page and called it talent. After that website I started getting involved in code. But by the start of school in 2004 I quit, it was too damned hard. Then in the summer of 2005 I started coding again (HTML of course, nothing fancy) I made a decent Bravehost site, it had 5 pages and actually included "home-made" videos. Nothing stolen. Once my friends seemed to get involved in the Bulletin Board of this particular site I decided to upgrade. I bought an old Dell, registered a domain with GoDaddy and started work on my new and improved site. With some, but very few, lines of PHP code. I released this website (TheHuzzah.com :|: Home) November-December of 2005. Since then we have gotten some fan base and 37 members on our forums. One of the sites impressive feature was a changeable bgcolor, stored on a cookie and text-based comments on our multi-media.
Now I am almost done coding (with full-blown PHP) v3 of my website. It features A Mysql-based login, with customizable features. Including Templates, Font Size, Ad display, and other things. It is very advanced compared to the other sites.

So that sums up my Web Design History. I have much experience in forums and bulleting boards so you need not worry about me spamming.

Welcome to WT Jeff. I just responded to another post of your so glad I could find this one and say hi. I think you're web design history is similar to quite a few others here.

Are you still using Notepad that comes with your PC. If so check out this page of Free HTML Editors. I use HTML Kit from the list, but several of the are pretty good. The syntax highlighting alone makes them all a better choice for an editor than the orignal Notepad.
