Just a quick hello. I've been hanging around for a few days and I like this forum pretty much. Seems like a good place.

I knew a few members here prior to joining. I know Chris Hirst pretty well. He and I both moderate together over at IHY where he's a Mod and I'm a SuperMod. Plus, he's one of the editors in my directory too.

I also know Adam (Web Design) from IHY as well.

Since I've been here I've met a few other really nice people too (like Denny).

A little about me:

I'm a work-a-holic. I love to write code and when I'm not writing code, I'm thinking about writing code. I also do web design (not for others though, just for myself).

I own a directory, that's my second child.

I am a Divorced parent and have one little boy (age 11 now as of Feb.) and he's the light of my life.

Nice meeting all of you so far, just wanted to drop a quick hello and introduce myself.

Oh sure, tease the crowd with the thought of Adam material and then disappoint them. Gotta give the people what they want...ME!

Seriously, you guys will like Deb. She's not afraid to say what's on her mind, and there's a lot of cool stuff up in there.

Welcome to WT Deb. The only thing I'm trying to understand is you knew Adam before coming here and yet you still came here anyway. That's kind of scary. I can understand joining new places where Chris is, but Adam?

So Adam how much trouble should I expect for the comments above?

Anyway Deb glad to have you here and I look forward to getting to know you.

None. I pretty well would have said the same thing. Deb's a glutton for punishment.

You're getting soft. I figured I would have gotten some kind of trash talking out of it.

Trash-talking? From me? Surely you must be thinking of someone else.

The newest WM-T member to be banned to the link exchange forum?

Adam-content is how I was planning to build a top-rated site. Only, I was hoping I could talk you into doing one of those dirty movies with Paris Hilton or Jenifer Aniston or someone? I heard controversy is a good thing.

How about Shania Twain? No one's really gotten her into any serious controversy. Could be a good hook. (Besides, she's freakin' HOT!)

Isn't it great how we've taken over Deb's intro and welcome post?

She brought it on herself by mentioning my name. She knows I'm capable of stirring up controversy without even trying (just ask Jim Boykin about that sometime.)

LOL. Thanks for the welcome, guys. No worries about hijacking the thread -- I have a very long and solid rep for doing the same thing (ask Adam & Chris )

Vangogh, your tagline is quite funny; "Post Impressionist" @ LOL.
Are you into the Arts?

I'm very much into Painting and Classical Music, myself. You can look at a beautiful portrait and admire the genius and creativity, or listen to some masterfully written concerto and it is enough to inspire hope that despite the ugliness of the world, there may still be hope for mankind.

P.S. (I'm very used to Adam-Antic so his 'rants' are amusing to me )

Deb I've done some drawing, but alas no painting. I am a big fan of the arts. All arts, painting, sculpture. music, literature, etc.

The 'post impressionist' thing just came to me when I was able to add the custom tagline. Glad you like it. It seemed to make a lot of sense given my username and also that we're posting on a forum. Ain't I clever?

Never, never, never use the word 'ain't' ... (boiling)

I'm a retired English Teacher and usage of "got" and "ain't" are two things I cannot live with! You're forcing me into red pen withdrawl.

My son is probably the only kid his age (that I know of) that doesn't use either of those words. LOL. He actually says "Aren't I clever?"

I love to draw, and paint. I was quite good at it in school and everyone thought I'd end up being an Artist. I however, always knew in my heart that I wanted to be an English Teacher, and I never regretted having made that choice.

Welcome to the forum Deb. You seem to be a very clear, concise and logical thinker and you articulate that well. I look forward to reading your contributions from here on out.

Deb I only use it for effect sometimes. I'll admit to breaking a few rules of grammar here and there to give a more conversation tone, but I do try to be grammatically correct.

I'm horrible when it comes to typing though and have been leaving typos in forums, blogs, and the web in general for years.

Of course, now you've made me nervous. I'm going to have to watch myself whenever I sense you near a thread and maybe give my post a once over before hitting that reply button.

LOL @ I make typos all the time.

I type with my hands floating above the keyboard and use two fingers on each hand kind of like a hunt and peck -- but I know where all of the keys are so I don't have to look. My keyboard has to be in the exact same position though, because if it moves I make mistakes typing because I'm almost blind.

I went through eye surgery about a month ago so things are improving a day at a time.
