the other thing is that, the ads they show! 50% are about hosting, 49% about PAID domains and 1% about free domains, so most people aren't going to go pay for a domain once they are here!

Well let me explain how this works, the ad from an educated guess point of view.

Adsense, it is a Ad program by google I think that uses the sites text to configurate the most fitted ad to place onto the site. So instead of site about Wrestlers, there wouldn't be an ad at the top about Barbie Dolls, that is how they configurate the Ads in Adsense. Hope that helps understand how the adsense program works =)

Adsense picks ups the words on the page and themes the ads accordingly!

BTW, How do I add myself to FREE-WEBHOSTS.COM? Isnt that only for web hosts? And where do I click to add the site?

bro u have to add ur site to google and yahoo these are two main search that are running if u add ur site to these two ur site will publish in no time and also try to banner exchage with more and more sites it will give u more vistores and also try to yahoo groups mail. these are some advices for boost up ur site soory one more and join more and more fourm and ask people for free domain and then people come to ur site thanx

Yeah I submitted my site to most search engines but now I have to wait for them to be updated!

dude i dont think you should go to free-webhosts.com right now. u just started your site, and if it goes on there, youll get thousands of visitors and will be overwhelmed. anyway, i dont think phpbb can handle all that. you should switch to vbulliten like roxr or something, becaseu with so many people phpbb will be sure to crash. unless you are ready. if your ready to take on that many people post on free-webhost.

Im going to let people pay for advertising spots and have site specific banners! I cant get rid of them because its my only source of income. and its just a couple of $ a day!

About purchasing vBulletin, the problem is that that will cost me $120 because I can buy it from someone else! So if you guys can donate anythig that would help and I can buy vBulletin!

what do you need to pay for? the forum or the host/domain? because you can get free forums that you download. i know how to get hold of an ipb forum with no ads on. i own one and it might be possible to give you a copy. i'd have to ask the co-owner too though

I hate IPB and have had terrible experiences with them! I LOVE vBulletin but I cannot spend $100+ right now!
