Hiya contest organizers,

Article Acceptance
Re: this condition -
Each article you submit will earn you 200 points. ***
Writing on behalf of Webmaster-Talk (WT would have the copyright) on the topics of web design, SEO, making money online, ad networks, affiliate marketing, servers and security, etc. that is at least 500 words in length will earn you 200 points. Submit articles to webmaster[at]webmaster-talk.com with your username listed clearly at the top of the article.

Maybe it could be clarified, but I think in a earlier reply, Tim mentioned the article had to be accepted/approved to count. (as part of the quality guidelines). Furthermore, as far as possible, submitters would get email/PM feedback if their article had been accepted/rejected (so you know if you get the 200 points per article).

-

International participants
I think another international WMT member highlighted if they had won, they'd probably have to pay hefty import/sales taxes when the prizes (especially the MacBook Air) get shipped to their home country.

Having paid 20% sales taxes when I shipped DVDs from Amazon to France, and paying a pretty massive 7% sales tax, when an eBay seller declared the full retail value of some equipment I bought on eBay a couple of months back, I can identify with the possible pain that some of you are facing.

So here is my offer to help you out. If you're an international winner and you want to minimize a potential $1,000 (about 20%) of import/sales taxes if you win, you can PM me and I'll help you look at various options to help ease the pain from that issue.

-
Having said all that, there's about 10 days left before the end of the contest.

If you haven't started putting your action plan in place to win the contest yet, why not start now?

If you're not starting now, then when?

In MMPOG talk, GLHF all!
(good luck, have fun)

FYI, i'm not a handheld console fan, so i googled for info on the Nintendo DS Lite.
Here's the wiki entry.

The "Lite" refers to it being the ultra-portable next gen model, rather than "lite=stripped of features".

It's 21% lighter and has a battery with about 20% more capacity.

IMO It could seriously ruin your online earnings.....

Or just as a worker in general. If you're determined, it will show eventually.

I guess I am the pretty determined type.

If I start a MMPOG or any kind of game, i pretty much work at it and finish it in a single setting.....

If that happens with a long game, my online earnings are pretty much done for that period..........!

So I guess you can say I have a love-hate relationships with games in general.........

Lol. I would, but I only know a few people who'd be interested in the website. I guess I'll have to compensate with some other things.

I think if you submit 100 articles, you have a good shot at scoring one of the prizes...

Having said that, I am submitting nowhere near that amount because if you are doing that, you probably should be spending more time on growing your web biz.......

But if you're bootstrapping it now, that $5k could help you jumpstart your biz.

100 articles?! I doubt anyone's done that much. I hope not, cause I'm in trouble if they have. I thought on average people would do like 5-10, if that.

Tick-Tock....Tick-Tock.

I know the suspense is killing many of you who may or may not be winners!
I love it! That's part of the fun (at least for myself who has to sit on the sidelines).

There really should have been a points table which would have increased the competition.

I wonder when the actual winners will be announced. It says in the rules that all point total submissions must be in by May 16th by noon, but it doesn't say when the big prize winners announcement will be.
