Go to your user control panel and click on edit profile. You can change your title there. Keep in mind if you change your title to a custom one it will not show/update your "Talker status" automatically unless your reset it to default. Your choice though.

We really should recognise the members that contribute the most to the forum. We need a "top posters" list, maybe a "most frequent posters" list too, and not forgetting the other end, "top spammers" and "most frequent spammers."

thus we can credit those who provide the forum with life and make it what it is, and name + shame those who are messing it up for the rest of us.

perhaps give people extra incentives to post more often? like on the "top posters" for the week, have the name of the member and a link to their site, thus providing them with free advertising!!

just a thought...

I agree, though, that there should be something a bit more than just that, though. How about a statistics section with things DaveTodd suggested, or even just a thread. Wouldn't need to be automatic (although I suppose doing a lot of 'top lists' would take quite a bit of time to do manually).

hey hey! i've broken into the top 10 already, and i've only been here 2 weeks.

i think a manual updating of the top posters would take a long time to complete.

any chance of any of the ideas been applied to the forums Chief / any mods / admins?

i like the idea of a statistics section, somewhere for all the maths-crazy people to have a look at the performance of the forum, somewhere for newbies to see just how much we are thriving, without giving too much info away. keep the ideas comming!

500 posts!? thats alot considering you joined at the same time as me. twas mid july i remember. thats more than 100 posts a week!!

i'd be somewhere there with ya were it not for me having missed at least 2 1/2 of the weeks that i've been here. ah well...one day my son, one day!! i'm content to stick around with the posts i have and increase gradually.

i've already broken into the top 10 posters of all time, within a month, imagine the count if i stick around for a year or more? interesting through...how long has this forum been around? it can't have been here for long if chief averages 3 posts a day and has only 900 posts...this meaning 300 days, less than a year!

Hey Criper,

The time depends on how many people have over 35 posts.
No person will be displayed twice before someone with 35 posts is listed once.
