I was going to change the message below my avatar from "Labor Day" to "Early Labor Day" but that has disappeared as well......

Yeah, I was going to change my avatar to an evil-smiley shark and it wouldn't save. It keeps saying "Unable to save image".

This is the image. It's within parameters. 80x80px and 4.83 KB.

So I tried to upload my old avatar back (the evil alligator) and it's still giving me the same message as above.
I even tried to host it on my server and that wouldn't work either. WTF? I feel so naked right now.

The evil-smiley shark is so cute Lance! I almost did what you did, delete the old avatar first, something told me don't do that. You feel naked, I feel ridiculous, Labor Day was over a week ago!

Sorry Giselle. I feel for ya. I still can't change my avatar or the custom message underneath it.
There's still some glitches on this forum that haven't been sorted out yet. When I click on a
username on the main page or a topics list page it just redirects me to the main page again.
It looks like we also lost the latest rss feeds under our avatars.

I want my avatar back.

As far as I know, the staff has been alerted about the avatar saving issue. I'll check to see if it's being addressed.

I remember something like this happened a couple of years ago here...It was resolved quickly and that's why I figured I would wait this one out. Btw, I was trying all day on and off to get in.

This thread was started on September 6th, almost two weeks ago, I can fully understand at the very beginning the work that was involved making Webmaster Talk somewhat operational. As the days went by, notifications came into this thread and into the "Suggestion and Feedback Forum," no response whatsoever from Administration until yesterday.

I am also noticing *more* similar incidents in the past day or so with other user coming in posting 'unrelated' threads...porn and such.

Maybe the admins should consider looking into this:

This should hopefully stop most, if not ALL, spambots from registering. (It worked for my forum superbly.)
