I don't think you're mis-defining terms because in the way you stated it, it would be one's popularity. I meant that it shouldn't be popularity based on an emotional basis (for example, we like the same NBA teams so I give you lots of TP). Good point....hmm, do I give you TP? 
Some people have made it a race in the past. I like how you defined racing as being able to help people out. Unfortunately there have been people that would do anything to get some TP. A friend and I played with the system at another forum by giving each other as much reputation as we could in order to have more than the owner. That's how things like this get out of control. BTW, that was our experiment with the reputation when it was first added to vB and I was an Admin there.
Also, I hope that everyone uses the "report post" function whenever they see spam or bad posts. It helps the Forum Leaders to find and take out the trash.

We don't ignore the members, but there has been a longer discussion than this thread in the private Forum Leaders forum. So, we've been taking suggestions and experiences and mulling them over.
And keep the suggestions coming. We appreciate them!

I think the wording on that could be changed to something like "Did My Post Help?".
We probably will write something on how TP should be used. That's been mentioned to me by some of the Mods and I haven't actually done it yet. Another good suggestion that we'll work on.
