We will be closing some forums and opening some new forums very shortly.
Posts from removed forums will not be lost. They will be moved to another forum...
Example:
Newsletter Discussion and Content Talk will be moved to the "Design all the Rest" forums...
As always, you are free to give any suggestion for new forums as well

Tim,
What are the new forums you have already decided on?
What do you think of having a forum dedicated to discussing CSS issues? I know that now you might find talk of CSS in the "Design all the Rest," but it might be nice to set up a shop all on its own. Of course, it will only work if there is enough interest, so let the gallery speak....
Thanks.
Kyrnt

Well, I was thinking of opening a "Programming Talk" section now that would seperate coding into seperate PHP, ASP, and all the rest. Then expanding the Graphics Talk section with a Photoshop, Fireworks, etc sections...
I also would not have a problem making a CSS forum. If it does not get enough interest, we can move the posts and close it later.
Thanks for all your help. Maybe you will be interested in Modding the CSS forum at some point?

I vote for CSS as it's own forum. There are are lot of CSS questions in here now.
Programming should have:
HTML
CSS
JavaScript
PHP
ASP
CGI/Perl
(maybe) Databases
And Graphics probably:
Photoshop/Imageready
Flash/Fireworks
Paint Shop
(maybe) Corel
(also maybe) Gimp/Ifranview/Gifworks
OR...
Adobe
Macromedia
Other
actually, I prefer this one...less forums to wade through
Just my $.02

Tim, Prissed,
I definitely like the idea of breaking the Programming forum up by programming/markup language. Right now it is tough picking through the topics trying to figure out which problems to tackle.
Sure, I would be enthusiastic to moderate a CSS forum. I don't know all the responsibilities of a position, but if you fill me in, I think it would be fun. (I'm on here 5 times a day as it is -- I may as well make myself useful.)
I also like Prissed's idea for breaking up the graphics forum by application (although the Corel forum would probably be a bit slow).
I like the changes I've seen since I've joined and I'm looking forward to see WT grow.
Regards,
Kyrnt

Ok, how about this.
Community Talk
- Same two forums
Design Talk (renamed to Design and Graphics Talk)
- Site Reviews and Sugestions
- Adobe Photoshop and Image Ready
- Macromedia Fireworks and Flash
- Graphics All the Rest (the present graphics and logos forum)
- Design - All the Rest
- Possible Graphics Requests and / or Graphics contest forum.
Coding / Programming Talk (new category)
- HTML and CSS
- PHP and MySQL
- ASP and My SQL
- Coding - All the Rest (the present Coding / Programming and Scripts forum)
- Possible Coding / Installation Requests forum.
Web Hosting Talk
- Same forum
All other forums would probably stay...
Thoughts or Comments???

Tim,
Great. I would make only two recommendations. Intead of ASP and MySQL, make it ASP and Access since Access is what most users use with ASP (at least in my experience).
In the graphics form, I would use Photoshop/Image Ready/Paint Shop Pro instead of Adobe Photoshop and Image Ready. Paint Shop Pro has a very large following out there and its functionality and capabilities are similar to Photoshop.
Great idea marrying HTML/CSS and PHP/MySQL. I bet those forums would do very well.
I think it looks like a plan.

Couple of thoughts...
1) I think Paint Shop has enough of a following to warrant its own forum. It's not part of the Adobe suite, so I don't think it oughtta be lumped in with Adobe - regardless of similarities.
2) "Graphics all the rest" and "design all the rest" will get people confused. Maybe keep design all the rest as is, and do a Miscellaneous Image Editing Software forum.
3) Don't forget the MSSQL ASP'ers
4) Praveen's right, forgot about Dreamweaver. I think it would probably be better to go with something like All Adobe and all All Macromedia forums.
5) I like the idea of having graphics and coding requests forums.

I agree that it warrants its own forum -- good idea. Besides, PSP is really the better product. Tim, put it right up top!

Yea, actually I meant "ASP and MS SQL" and not "ASP and MySQL"
Thanks for all the great tips. They all are good suggestions. I'll probably be setting up the new forums Sunday evening.
Wouldnt we want to keep "Dreamweaver" in a forum by it's own because it is not really related to graphics creation.
What about a seperate Dreamweaver / Frontpage / Go Live etc. Forum?
While I don;t want to open up to many forums all at once, I think just having two forums for "Macromedia" and one for Adobe" anything products might be getting to broad.

instead of aving a separate forum for it, we can do one wit jus "Macromedia" to start wit n then take it from there based on demand n popularity..
or a separate one for all html editors....
also, Ulead... i dont use them at all..but that doesnt mean its not popular..and also Xara...

Since the languages will have their own forum (subforums), then it would make sense to have a forum for Editors such as those (WYSIWYG editors, and others).

OK, so how about this?
Design Talk (renamed to Design and Graphics Talk)
- Site Reviews and Sugestions
- Jasc Paint Shop Pro
- Adobe Photoshop and Image Ready
- Macromedia Fireworks and Flash (should I remove flash all together?)
- Miscellaneous Image Editing Software(the present graphics and logos forum)
- Design - All the Rest
- Possible Graphics Requests and / or Graphics contest forum.
(I can also add a subforum for adding tutorials in each section)
Coding / Programming Talk (new category)
- HTML, DHTML and CSS
- PHP and MySQL
- ASP and Access or SQL
- Coding - All the Rest (the present Coding / Programming and Scripts forum)
- Possible Coding / Installation Requests forum.
Still not sure about these two:
- Miscellaneous Image Editing Software (the present graphics and logos forum posts would go here)
- Design - All the Rest (for other design issues not related to graphics)
