It is a known fact that social bookmarking sites and social news sites can drive a huge amount of traffic to your website, but going to all of them and manually submitting is a very time consuming process.

To ease this process I have created SocialMarker.com

To start using it you have to drag the button provided on to your bookmarks toolbar to create a submission bookmarklet. Every time you want to submit a new site that you are visiting just select a piece of text and press the bookmarklet. You will be directed to socialmarker.com and the required fields will be pre-populated.

I think it`s one of the best way of generating backlinks and traffic in a short period of time. How did you get this idea?

I think the basic thought is a good idea, and I sense that you had at least some noble intentions, but there are two things that will kill it (one of which you can control and one of which you can't).

1) It's a Firefox-only plugin. If you want your tool to take off, make it for FF, IE, and maybe a few others like Safari and Opera.

2) Social media spammers will eventually abuse this tool or any clones of it and use it to submit all of their "sites", thus ruining the whole social media experience and killing it for all practical intents and purposes.

Well, to tell you the truth I just managed to make it work on IE as well.

About the spammers: they will do what they do with or without this tool and they will get caught and banned (by the social services). It is that simple.

Whoow this tool is great on this moment i use only a few social bookmark sites, but tools like this want me to sign up for more.
