Two hosting companies I can recommend

Hi all-

I have web sites with two hosting companies. First, most of my sites are with Servint where I have a Virtual Private Server account. Right now I have around 10 domains there. The basic account costs $50 per month and includes 10 GB disk space. They own their own data centers (to me the most important factor in making a hosting provider decision). As with most if not all VPS providers, they use Linux as the OS and Apache, etc. They were very quick about getting my server set up. They are good at notification when maintenance tasks may affect your server although I have never noticed down time or had anyone mention it to me. I have had only one issue since starting there which they resolved very quickly. I have been there almost a year now.

I also have one domain hosted at HostMySite. The reason I am with them is they provide Windows based hosting and I like to be able to mess around with ASPs and .NET. I have been with HMS since nearly the beginning of my time on the web, over 6 years. When I first set up my VPS account, HMS did not offer VPS accounts. If they had, I would have signed up with them without hesitation. I am thinking about moving my VPS account there but you all know what a pain it is to move to a new hosting provider. They only reason I would move is to have everything at one company. I am in no way unhappy with Servint. HMS also owns their own datacenters. I have a ColdFusion Builder account which is $29.95 a month if paid monthly. They offer discounts for quarterly and annual billing. I pay annually for which they also pay for my domain registration. Their support is outstanding.

WOW! You came all the way here to post that?

SPAM....

I know its in the Ads, Offers & Service forum, but I think it would be better if this post was done as an ad, rather than a fake "recommendation"

This was not an ad or fake recommendation in any way. I originally put this post in the web hosting forum as the rules stated we were supposed to talk about the providers we use and what we think of them. I am in no way affiliated with either of these companies. I am not a reseller or anything else. I am just a guy that has web sites running on these two providers.
