I started honestjuans.com a year ago with a head full of ideas, and a wad of cash. Well, the money got WASTED helping friends out- friends that ended up leaving as soon as the cash dried up!
I stopped just short of developing cartoons using flash. Anyone who has seen homestarrunner.com, illwillpress, etc., that's what I was going to shoot for. I love these toons, they bring me a great deal of enjoyment, and I wanted to share my own life experiences with these toons.
The thing that really sucks is that my life experience can't be told with writing- there's just simply too much movement for me to convey with just words and have a humorous meaning. Sure, I can teach you something with what I write, but it may not leave you coming back for more like a short, 2-3 minute animation with sound.
Of course I'm stuck workin' at a minimum wage job and gettin' help from my mom payin' bills. The cycle perpetuates itself when I come home so tired from my job that I can't spend time trying to figure out a solution for my website. I tried using SWISH to make the animations, and it crashes every two minutes. I thought about taking out a loan for a copy of flash, but I would not even have time to learn the program.
I have dozens of cartoon drawings that just need to be animated and set to a dialog though.
What am I asking you folks?
