Hi there… I was quite busy but finally here is something new to share

This is really an amazing place, a former royal residence about 1hour far from my hometown, one of the largest royal residences in the world, comparable in size and structures to those of Versailles.
During the Napoleonic domination, the whole complexes were turned into barracks and the gardens destroyed to create a training ground.
Restoration works were begun and will last ages! Anyway in 2007 was open for tourism.
I was really lucky visiting in early morning with a good light and with few literally none visitors around instead of thousands.
Behind the palace… land art works and … huge gardens…. will follow next post ….

All beautiful shots, no favorites this time, what an education though! I can only imagine the money it must be costing for the restoration on this historical palace.

It costed a lot... and just a few part of the gardens has been restored.... they are nearby and blend themself with a natural park, for this reason there are no building around!

I did notice no construction or buildings, all the ground pictures blended in. Still laughing at the photograph with the boulder in the tree, a bit different!

The palace, the gardens, and a natural park are blended together... but the city is very near.

I love number 2!! It's stunning. the lighting is perfect! It was great that no one was there. I never have that kind of luck. look forward to the rest.
