Hello. Nice pictures….I need to do something familiar about me city….Your pictures reflect a little bit darkly weather, people with umbrellas……Snow time. Honestly, I don’t like this kind of the year…. I prefer summer time, when everything is blossoming.

Best photos sometimes are with the rain or the snow.

I guess you don't really get the idea of "atmosphere" in a photograph

One of the best photgraphs (35mm in pre digital days) that I took was of a totally empty beach (of people) at about 6:30 AM on an Autumn morning, and as the tide had gone out the only thing in the foreground was a brighly coloured beach ball left sat in the ripples the sea had made in the sand.

Nice flat lighting at that time in the morning and the absense of anything "happening" can convey more of an atmosphere and emotion than all the "happy smiley people" images can.

I also liked to use monochrome film stock and underexpose it slightly for a "grainy" look to some landscapes.

I didn't know you was in photography.... nice to know!
I agree on what you said... but action sometimes is amazing... you will see in my photos of Burma, as soon as I find the time to post them :-)

Yep, at one time the gadget bag and tripod went everywhere with me. I was woken up by a thunderstorm in the very early hours once, loaded my camera (35mm Nikon F2) with some slow B&W film stuck a 50mm f/1.4 lens and a motor wind on it and headed off down to the seafront to try for some some time delay shots of lightning strikes out at sea.

I probably looked a real muppet at 2:30 - 3AM, pouring rain, camera in a clear plastic bag on tripod, me wearing a Parka, holding a cable release and trying to second guess the elements.

and the pictures come up!

I'm always too lazy for the tripod unless I go for product shots... traveling I relay on amazing ISO power of a good digital!
Actually more the Mpx I love the increasing of ISO of digitals era, you can come out with incredible picture in dark places... just with the camera.

yeah, got a couple of good shots out of a full roll.

The advent of digital certainly saved having to carry a couple of camera bodies loaded with different stock. and they provide more scope with a good range of ISO/ASA emulation. Or as a friend (pro with the local paper) said of his Fuji S5,

"I can go from bright sunlight, to using the glow from an alcoholics nose in one go"

The best part for sure of digital is that cut off drastically the cost of a photos you can shot hundreds and save 10 without spend 1 $ and when I travel this is the best part because you have to do something nice on the road without probably the possibility to come back in the same place and in the same situation.
