Ok, now i have been fiddling very slowly and inexpertly with the CMS for CALM charity.

I now need to get the site presentable by the 20th of Oct.


I REALLY dont want to have to contine working with the very bad structure i currently have.

and i need to get at least the core of the cms done so it is usable for the chairty site. so it can be presentable.

I really need some medioka to high skilled PHP programmers to help me get the core parts done and usable.

PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!

Basically i need to get a easy to develop for /convert to template system.
and i will also need help to develop the module system to it works well and and has the needed functionability.

I currently have a login script which probably needs to be optimised and included within both the admin and parts of the general site.

I know this is alot to ask but anything you can do would be greatly apprieciated.

even if you can only help with a small part it will help me alot!

Oh yea looks like you need to hire a professional programmer for that
hiring a Programmer can be realy costly, may be these guys can help you out with a cheaper cost and well what appears to be a good deal contact them and see how it goes

Yes i know this requires a "pro" but it is for charity they havnt given me any budget. and i have no money to put into it myself.

And they only really way to even try and pursuade them to give any kind of budget would be to be getting a reasonable amount of donations through the site.

But this wont happen untill the future when the site is established and they agree and provide the details for the donations service.

So i need a charitable person to help with some of the main bits.

Scale your project to not include those dyamic things then.

at the moment i am doing it.

an trying to transfur what i ahve of the site to what i have of the CMS and either hacking it together or building the makeshift parts to fit

Does the site need a sophisticated CMS with templates and modules.

Sounds to me that it could easily be managed with a simple admin with master detail page sets to handle update insert and delete and few other basics.

Okay, the reason i want this, and it needs it is simple it means alot less work, in the future. and when i eventually no longer maintain the site, it will be fairly easy for joe blogs to maintain it.

I have the basic theme basically coverd.

i just need to sort the modules out and neaten it all up and stuff.

Honestly Dan, I wish you luck, but can you just tell us why it is that you need to write your own CMS for them? Would it not be easier to adapt what you already have to a pre-existing CMS?

I know it sucks to have to port code, but at least you know the CMS side of things is already done.

Im not exactly sure what you mean, but with regards to the CMS it will only be used for the charity. And once i think its at a good enough standard i might release it for download in exchange for donation TO the chairty. so if it becomes avalible it will be to benifit the charity.

Dan, have you checked out the cms core module at chipmunk scripts?

I have only looked at it briefly. It looks like the back-end is fairly complete.

It is free gpl and no back-link is required.

Ok, i should say another point why i dont want to go for a premade one (and i couldnt find what you ment colbyt) is because alot of it i want to learn my self .

I realize you want to do your own but you have a deadline. From the description you should get a good bit of "hand-on" with setting this one up.

You will do your better work later when you are not under the pressure.

Surely you will admit yours is a fairly large project. No harm in seeing how some one else did it. Frankly, to me it sounds like an over-whelming project.

well yes and no.

really i could make this all in plain xhtml and Css but mainly so it is easier for me to admin and because i jsut wanted to i started making it CMS like,.. and now its going into a "full" cms.

My main task for now at least is converting all what i had (which was bsically a cms with out the content managment Lol.

So really its just a case of "converting" what i had to what i have of a CMS but it will be one of those thing i think where ill get it usable and improve as and when

I just downloaded and installed the CMScore and all it reallly is is a admin and article managment system.
and the login system i basically already have.
