We have just registered http;//www.womaston.co.uk - It is going to be a website run by students with learning disabilities and challengingbehaviour - bit of a blog / news type site for the school basically.

The students need to be able to log in and upload their content easily but the design of the site needs to look fun and lively.

Basically I'm looking for some suggestions on some scripts that can be used for this - Something like Drupal maybe?

Drupal is good

Though, if your looking for a blog / news type site go for wordpress (blogging script) as this will make your website much more manageable.

Also, look into getting a faster web host, your current one seems somewhat slow.

The blog is missing many features. I think the CMS is the way to go. Look through the list at http://www.opensourcecms.com/ to which suits you.

If your site is non profit/commercial, the guys at http://masshost.net will give you hosting and create a CMS site at no charge.
