I would like to know if there is such a script that I am going to describe below:-

Like a football(soccer) manager script. I create teams, add players etc and then create leagues in which I place the teams that I have created. Then people register and choose teams. The teams play each other. The league includes a table which is updated after every game. The matches can be viewed online which would be text-based.

I don't mind someone coding something like that for me. Would like a nice chat with them so I can explain everything and they can give me a quote.

If there's just a simple Football/Soccer Manager script out there, please give me that as well so I can see how it is.

If you want someone to code this for you, you'll have to pay them quite some cash.
I don't think anything is close enough to what you want and free.

What is the problem? If you manage to describe the whole process as much detailed as possible you will easily code it in php.

The most common problem of all coding projects is total inability of task provider (client) to formulate what he wants.

i think that is the difference between a project manager and a coder ...
the project manager can take the task from a client and talk to him to make a features list for the coder to make

I might be wrong but this is my opinion

Well, you will need even more money to hire an additional project manager in this case
