Does anyone know where I can find a news system, like the one they use on that site, for free? I'm building a website that needs a news system of some sort and the one on QOTSA.com is PERFECT for what I need but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I've found a few sites with it but none of them give any indication of where I could find it. Help?

If nobody knows where to find that system can anyone help me with integrating some sort of blog/news system to my site? I've tried WordPress but all I could find was ways to change the WordPress theme to mimic the site but that's not what I want at all. I need something that is fully integrated with the site, like the QOTSA.com system.

CuteNews is another example of an awesome system but I'd rather not have that 'Powered by CuteNews' line there.

Most free things require a link back (It's how they make there money). You could just ask cutenews nicely (or pay them some money) and they most likely would let you remove the link back.

True, good point. CuteNews charges $40 to remove their link which I don't have any money for and I doubt they'd let me take it off just for asking nicely. I think I'll just use CuteNews (with link back) unless someone here can come up with something better.

$40 is quite reasonable. Websites are like business, you put the investment in, you should get a return on it.

Yeah, I'm aware of that but this website is a favor website for a small unsigned local band and they don't have $40 to spare for a little link to disappear. I'm just personally being picky. That said, I don't think I'll worry about it. Thank you for the replies.
