Is it any way to check pagerank via php at the moment? I used to a very popular script, but now for about a month I get info from Google, that it's forbidden:

Your client does not have permission to get URL /search?client=navclient-auto&ch=some_code&features=Rank&q=info:some_url from this server. (Client IP address: some_ip_address)

A few weeks ago many online pagerank checkers had the same problems and at the moment some of them don't work at all for example:

http://livepr.raketforskning.com/

On the other hand some of them still work fine like:

http://www.digpagerank.com

Maybe they use some other method to get pagerank value?

Do you have any script that at the moment also work without any problems?

My new pagerank checker script works. The one I used before went dead. What happens is that the script gets out and people abuse it or start giving it away for free and it gets abused. Google eventually catches and blocks it.
I made mine myself and will not be giving up the code, but if you want a javascript so you can put it on your site I'd be happy to supply it.

The question is...why would you want such a meaningless tool?

Not only that, the reason a lot of those PageRank checkers got busted isn't because they got popular as such but because the more popular they got, the more automated queries they issued. This puts a strain on big G's servers and as a result, they likely put the kibosh on it.

I would like to use pagerank checker only for my seo link directory. All domains are checked only once a month, so it won't make any harm for google servers

pm me, I can set up an api for you so you can connect to it with php and use the script pretty much however you want, that way I'd be able to limit the queries to say 1000 per month.

Thanks for your offer, but I finally (I hope so) found working script. The problem was with generating checksum - the strangest thing was what it was working earlier and now cheksum was incorrect.

So for all - if you get Forbidden error when checking script - it doesn't actually mean that your IP is banned - it could mean that your checksum for checking PR is incorrect
