Ok, heres my situation.

ive got Windows Xp
Ive installed IIS
Ive installed php5
Ive run a php page (following code):

<head><title>php test</title>

</head>

<body>

<p>this is an html line

<?php

    echo "<p>this is a php line</p>";

    phpinfo();

?>

</body>

</html>

But my machine still only runs the html

i have also opened iis manager and added .php (using the correct executable file) to the default website.

i have also tried changing the line

; cgi.force_redirect = 1

to

PHP Code:


			
cgi.force_redirect = 0

i really need to get php running so i can start work on my site - any help would be much appreciated

er... I have no clue what you would do on iis

on linus ud just run it in localhost

why u using php with iis anyways?

yeah i am running it in localhost, and ive tried without - niether work - only the html is displayed so obviously the php aint working right, im just trying to work out why.

im using it with iis because iis was the easiest for me to get/install as i know sod all about ne others

also as im on a 56k modem its hard to download ne big software (another reason i use iis)
