Hi everyone...

I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to have a "Welcome person's name here" when they log onto a website that uses .htaccess.

If not, how would I go about doing this?

Thanks,

Mark

ummm... I can't remember where apache stores that info, but in should be in the URL to... maybe you could split the URL up for it? I'd reccomend you google for where login info is stored though, should be in a SESSION or SERVER.

PHP has a special variable set up just for apache .htaccess style passwords. After login is complete you can use $_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER'] and $_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_PW'] to access those variables for as long as the session exists.
