I would agree with David. Having someone teach you via email or the web would be more difficult for you than if you were to pick up a text. There are some great volumes out there. I would recommend getting a book that combines PHP, Apache and MySQL. I would recommend the "Learn in 24 Hours" series on this topic. It's simple and to the point -- very effective.

I would also recommend Beginning PHP4 (even though we're onto PHP5 these days). It does a thorough job of explaining the basic features, as well as why they work the way they do. The only problem that I had with this book is that their way of using MySQL was just too weird for me. Anyway, I definitely recommend that you check this out. It should stand out as a thick red book in most bookstores.
