Hello im not sure if this is the right thread but here goes ,
In the admin panel of invision the page where you edit Board Settings (Global Set Up) - When I go to the submit button I get a whole string of errors the errors are as below :

Warning: fopen(./conf_global.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/vgaming/public_html/sources/Admin/admin_functions.php on line 373

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/vgaming/public_html/sources/Admin/admin_functions.php on line 380

I went into that file and I could not figure it out at all someone please help me

hmm... if its fopen, it must want to edit. The following could be the problem;
-the file doesn't exist
-the files permissions are wrong
-the server does not allow file streams.

You probally need to set the permissions of the 'conf_global.php' file to 777

Alllowing it to read, write and execute the file

Hey I was right but I did it to the wrong file I changed admin_functions.php to 777 my bad thanks for yor help guys mods close this thread
