Im currently creating a site and they require an area for payed members.. Paying by paypal

This is the idea I have so far..

The user enters their information..
Its inserted into the database...
They are given a random code..Which is stored with their info in the database...
They then click the button to goto the Paypal payment page...
The form created through the paypal will then have an extra field for their code..
After sending payment.. the owner will recieve the 'payment recieved email' which should contain the code the user entered too..
The owner logs into the admin control panel and enters the code which then activates that account.. and automatically sends an email to the user welcoming them

Think it would work effectively??
Any ideas??

make it automated, unless theres a good reason not to...

1: Pay via paypal - send the auto-accept field as true
2: Validate the amount and currency, and that the payment is genuine through FSockOpen
3: automatically activate account & send email OR send email notifying user of failure.
