hi im a real novice to web development and need a push start on setting up my crons can anyone help me???

just go to your website control panel (www.yoursite.com/cpanel) and then click the cron jobs icon. You can setting up your cron job from there.

If, by chance, you don't have cpanel or the like, but you do have shell access to a *NIX (Linux, Solaris, etc..) or BSD server, the command to setup cron is:

$ crontab -e

This will bring up an editor, possibly vi (google it) or pico (google it)

Still in a linux shell, you can issue an

man crontab

to access the manual page for the crontab file
